Custom Red Oak Walnut Towel Bar

Created a custom hardwood towel bar for Tracy out of red oak and black walnut to match our kitchen island.  I decided to keep the towel bar in the same specs as the island itself (black walnut and red oak).  The end cap pieces are two 3×3 squares of red oak glued together, and the solid black walnut towel bar was cut from leftover scrap from the top (17″ wide).

Here’s the pics from glue up, to sanding, and then stain.  The final ones mounted to the island are after I routed 2 keyhole screw slots in the back of each end cap.
